BUILT FOR PRIVATE CREATIVITY
Your music stays on your device.
NoteDancer is a browser-based music visualization tool. This page explains the limited information involved when you use it, and how optional Google Analytics works.

MIDI files and generated videos
Files you select through the upload button or drag-and-drop are read and processed by JavaScript in your browser. We do not upload MIDI file contents, note events, filenames or song titles to a NoteDancer server. The animated musical staff, synthesized piano playback and MP4 export are processed locally. Downloaded MP4 files are saved using your browser's download mechanism.
Optional website analytics
With your permission, NoteDancer uses Google Analytics 4 to understand broad website usage, such as example music selection, successful MIDI imports, playback, export attempts, completed video exports and download clicks. Events include only known demo identifiers, playback/export settings and coarse file-size or duration groups. We do not send your MIDI contents, uploaded filenames, user-entered song titles, or the notes themselves as event parameters.
Analytics is optional. On this site, the Google Analytics tag is loaded only if you select Allow analytics. You can decline and still use all features. Your choice is stored in your browser's local storage, and you can review or change it using Analytics preferences at the bottom of this page. If you revoke an earlier choice, future analytics events are disabled; you may also clear previously stored analytics cookies using your browser settings.
External services and browser storage
The website's static HTML, CSS and JavaScript are delivered through Cloudflare Pages, which may process standard network requests and operational logs. NoteDancer uses Google Fonts to load interface typography. For realistic piano sound, your browser downloads individual piano samples as needed from NoteDancer's own Cloudflare Pages static assets and can cache those files locally for future playback. The samples are based on the public-domain AKAI Splendid Grand Piano library. External font providers and Cloudflare may receive ordinary connection information such as IP address and browser metadata; they do not receive your MIDI file from NoteDancer.
The app may use browser caches and temporary private browser storage while generating an MP4. Temporary export files are removed after cancellation or when the export result is closed, subject to browser behavior.
No accounts, advertising or payments
NoteDancer currently requires no account and has no advertising or paid checkout. All public 720p MP4 export features are free to use.
Your choices
Use your browser's privacy controls to clear stored preferences, cached piano samples and downloaded files. The Analytics preferences control below lets you decline or enable optional usage measurement at any time. You can read the NoteDancer guide for more information about what the app does and its export limits.
